Peter John Crist

 Peter John Crist, 64 of Saxonburg passed away on  May 11, 2023 at his home. 
 
 Born May 20, 1958 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Walter Gerald Crist and Eleanor Boyle Crist.
 
Peter went on to college later in life and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelors degree in engineering and a Master's degree in electrical engineering. He worked as an electrical engineer for Emerson. He was a member of Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church. Peter was a US Navy veteran, serving from 1978-1987. He helped design the Beacon Hotel's haunted maze for many years and he also was an avid pool and golf player.  Peter was a Chicago sports fan and a phenomenal cook. He loved his family, where he lived in the "sea of estrogen" with his wife and daughters. His biggest regret was not telling Direct TV the reason why he cancelled which is because they discontinued the Sunday Ticket.  
 
 Surviving are his loving wife, Susan Trautmann Crist, who he married July 4, 1987, his daughters, Devon Crist (Joe) Norris, Emily Marie (Ken Jr.) Muller, Alexandria Crist,  and  Laura Crist Kelly, his grandchildren, Charlotte Kelly, Connor Kelly and Avery Norris, his best friend and brother, Stephen Reese and his siblings, Kathy Crist, Walter Kevin Crist, Mary Crist, Sean Crist, Erin Crist, and Paul Crist.
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Bernadette Crist.  

 Friends will be received on Sunday, May 14, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg. 

A Mass of Catholic burial will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Holy Sepulcher R. C. Church with Father Charles Bober officiating. Everyone please meet at the church.
 
 Interment with military honors will follow in Brownsdale Cemetery.
 
 Memorial donations may be made to the Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church.
