Rebecca L. "Becky" Simmers

 Rebecca Louise "Becky" Simmers, 74 of Cabot passed away on  September 22, 2022 at the Allegheny Valley Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.  
 
Becky was born September 7, 1948 to  Walter  Gerner and Eleanor Shultz Gerner.
 
She attended Knoch High School and was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Joseph Church.    She had worked as a Ward Clerk for Allegheny Valley Hospital and as a secretary for Bures Ford until  starting her family.

Becky had a deep love for children.  She was at her happiest loving her children and grandchildren.  She always opened her home to anyone needing some motherly love and she will always be remembered for making those in her life feel deeply loved and her crazy sense of humor.  
 
 Surviving are her husband, Wesley Simmers, Sr.,  her children, Wesley Simmers, Jr. of Sarver,  Walter Simmers of Cabot,  Valarie (Doug) Kelly of Butler,  Tracy Simmers of Cabot, her sister, Carol (Dave) Campbell of Cabot and 2 grandchildren, Phoenix Kelly McDonald and Johnathan Simmers.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dennis Gerner.
 
 Friends will be received  on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 1-3 pm. at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc. in Saxonburg.   A memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm.
