Regis Schiebel Obituary

 Regis I. Schiebel, 86, of Cabot passed away on  December 27, 2020 at  Concordia Lutheran Ministries. 
 
 Born October 4, 1934 in Butler County,  he was the son of Harry  Schiebel  and Lillian Thoma Schiebel
 
Rege graduated from Slippery Rock State College and received his Masters Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. 

Rege started his career at Knoch High School as a math teacher.  But most will remember him as the Knoch High School Assistant Principal until 1993, and the"Voice of Knoch High School" as the only stadium announcer at Knoch until his retirment just a  few years ago.  Mr. Schiebel has been the Knights's biggest fan both at sporting events and in the classroom.  He had served as the President of the South Butler County School District Scholarship Foundation which annually awards thousands of dollars in scholarships and loans that allow Knoch graduates to further their education.  Mr. Schiebel is also a member of the Knoch High School Sports Hall of Fame Committee.  In 2016, he was inducted into the Knoch Sports Hall of Fame .  He was a Trustee Emeritus of the Knoch Knights Legacies Foundation, past board member of  Slippery Rock University Foundation, he served on the Butler County Hall of Fame Board of Directors,  a board member of the Butler County YMCA, he was a member of the Butler County Rotary and a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Cabot.
 
 Surviving are his nieces and nephews, James Beggs of Sarver,  Donald Beggs of Butler,  Jacqueline Beadle of Pittsburgh,  Terry Schiebel of Millvale,  David Schiebel of Butler and  Lexie Stamper of Cranberry Twp..

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Leo Schiebel and one sister, Evelyn Beggs 

 Visitation will private.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Joseph R.C. Church in Cabot. 
 
 Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Herman.
 
 Memorial donations may be made to the South Butler County School District Scholarship Foundation.
