Reuben Wilson Clowes, 94, of Cabot passed away on December 12, 2024 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries
Born September 26, 1930 in Winfield Twp., he was the son of John Shields Clowes and Harriet Barnes Clowes.
Reuben served in the US Air Force during Korea. He was a retired excavating worker.
Reuben was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot, Saxonburg American Legion Post #683, Saxonburg VFW Post #7376, Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Co., the Monday Golf League and delivered for Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed serving on multiple church/school building committees, woodworking at Concordia LM, hunting, fishing, and playing golf and pool.
Surviving are sons, Kevin Clowes, of Round Rock, TX and Scott Clowes, of Charlotte, NC, his sister, Janet Durst of Cabot, six grandchildren; Melisa Gladkowski of Hagerstown, MD, Jennifer Rodriguez of Pflugerville, TX, Christopher Clowes of Round Rock, TX, Joshua Clowes of Raleigh, NC, Ashley Lowery of Raleigh, NC and Tyler Clowes of Charlotte NC, nine great-grandchildren
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janet Clowes, on June 24, 2022, his daughter, Tamara Clowes-Gladkowski, one sister, Dolores Koegler, and one brother, Charles Clowes.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 10AM at the St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, with Rev. Brian Bocian officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Luke Cemetery.
