Rev. Dr. James E. Boos

Rev. Dr.  James E. Boos, 85,  of New Wilmington, formerly of Saxonburg,  passed away on  July 4, 2021 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital. in Youngstown, OH.
 
 Born May 11, 1936 in Sandusky, OH, he was the son of Harry  Boos  and Lorena  Leber Boos.
 
 Jim graduated from Ohio State University with a BS in Education, he then acquired his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.  Jim retired from the Presbyterian ministry after 29 years of service at Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church.  He enjoyed bringing people to the Lord, fishing, baking cookies and spending time with his family.
 
 Surviving are his wife, Joyce Underkofler Boos, whom he married June 22, 1957, his children, Tamara Boos of Willard, OH,  Christine (Brett) Barnes of Saline, MI,  Phillip (Joyce L.) Boos of Queenstown, MD,  Lorena (Dennis) Coo of Centreville, VA, Lee Ann (Donald) Miller of New Wilmington and Robert (Lori) Boos of Williamsport, PA, 17 grandchildren, Amber, Emily, Benjamin, Aaron, Diane, Melissa, Angela, Jason, Rachel, Jacob, Daniel, Elizabeth, Ashton, Anna, Donald, Austin and Grace,  12 great-grandchildren, Madeline, Elijah, Molly, Maysen, Elsie, Baylee, Elliot, Jaxtin, Harrison, Lucas, Kit and Adeline, and his brother, Donald (Mary) Boos of Milan, OH.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Andrea Boos and one grandson, Alan Barnes 
 
 Friends will be received from Friday, July 9, 2021, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.
     
 Services will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, 11:00 am at Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church with his daughter Rev. Christine Barnes and Pastor Carmen Shullo officiating.
 
 Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.
