Rhonda Young Linamen, 60, of Sarver, passed away on December 14, 2024 at the UPMC Presbyterian hospital, surrounded by her family following an ongoing illness.
Born February 15, 1964 in Camp Lejeune, NC, she was the daughter of Harold Young and Darla Blackburn Young.
Rhonda was a 1982 graduate of Knoch high School then went to Franco Beauty Academy in New Kensington
Rhonda was a hair stylist and owner of Shear Images of Saxonburg in her early years and then went to work for AVH as a medical transcriptionist for eight years until she started working from home in 1997. In more recent years, she was a consultant for a number of products, such as Norwex and Scentsy. She enjoyed painting, traveling, rodeos, camping, Court TV and Pintrest. She loved Rock n Roll (especially Aerosmith) and her purple Grand Am, that she has had since 1997, which she often took to be a TV show "extra". She had the "gift of gab" and could talk to anyone about anything.
Rhonda enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog Kyra, who was by her side for 14 years. She loved her grandchildren and took so much pride in being Nana.
Surviving are her husband John "Jack" Linamen, who she married on May 9, 2009, her children, Brianna Wissinger, Brandon Wissinger and Brooke Young, all of Saxonburg, her sister, Coleen Young of Saxonburg, her sisters-in-law, Jan Carter of Jacksonville, FL and LaDonna Linamen of Slippery Rock, her step-children Chad (Crystal) Linamen, Adam (Lisa) Linamen and Shannon (Tim) Lynch, her grandchildren, Hayden, Rylan, Dezmond, Brielle, Bianca, Blaire, Brady, Bella, Jake, Kayla, Kylie, Kate and Jack, her Aunt Doreen Blackburn, who was more like a second mother, her life-long best friend Kelly Gamble Tyler and a number of uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins of the Blackburn Farm.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Daryl and Allen Young, her grandparents, Marjory and Cliff Blackburn and Charles and Alice Young, her cousins Bryan and Cody Blackburn and her dog Kyra.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Saxonburg, PA, with Rev. Rob Swinsburg officiating.
