Rosalie & Bob were married 59 years, and passed on to be with the Lord within a few days of each other. In Rosalie’s declining health, Bob was saddened and it very well may be he died of a broken heart after her passing.

Rosalie Ellen Thomasmeyer, daughter of Francis & Margaret Conner, Lafayette IN, sister to Larry Conner (Melody), Lafayette, IN and James Conner (Bobbi), Romney, IN.

Bob & Rosalie are the parents of Robert Craig Thomasmeyer (Beth), Butler PA , Ronda Christine Poland, Kingsport TN, and Robert Christopher Thomasmeyer, Memphis TN.

Grandparents of 9. Suzanne, Seth, Landon, Austin, Brent, Chelsie, Andrew, Truman, and Eden. Great-Grandparents of Wesley, and TBA.

Nieces and nephews are many, but a special mention goes to Carrie and Janice.

Bob & Rosalie touched and changed lives of friends everywhere they went. They made everyone feel welcomed. They lived in Indiana, Illinois, Florida and PA. Their doors were always open and friends were invited for a meal. Rosalie, loved card games, or rummikub, or a good chat.

Rosalie loved playing card games, even until wee hours of the morning, which she may have passed along. Bob enjoyed history and reading, and Allis Chalmers farm tractors.

Bob was raised in Dana, IN after graduation from Dana HS he served on the aircraft carrier USS Bennington from 1956 to 1959. Rosalie, the oldest of 3, from Lafayette IN graduated from Lafayette Jefferson HS. They met when Bob was working delivering parts to a local industrial supply where Rosalie worked as a secretary. The story goes, their first full introduction was at a charity pancake breakfast, that Bob was sure to attend after hearing Rosalie was one of the servers. This may explain their love for breakfast out with friends and family.

They were loved and will be missed by many. A memorial celebration of their lives will be announced later by the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Bob & Rosalie Thomasmeyer to Concordia Lutheran Ministries, 134 Marwood, Cabot PA. 16023 (payable to and mailing address as shown)
