Rodger M. Davis transitioned to eternity with Jesus on April 1st, 2026, while surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home. Rodger was born on August 15th, 1962 to the late Mary Lou (Sherman) and Harry E. Davis in Butler, PA. He was a graduate of Knoch High School in 1980. Rodger married his wife of 41 years Darla (Reott) Davis on March 9th, 1985. He was the proud father of Hollie Davis of Pittsburgh and Aaron (Renee) Davis of Ligonier. His most recent title as “Pappy” to his grandson Oliver brought him great joy.
Rodger started working for his dad and eventually took over his water well drilling and pump service business in the 80’s, Harry E. Davis & Sons and he loved going to work everyday. He found great joy and purpose in his work and loved being able to serve others. Rodger took every opportunity he could to share his faith and pray with those that he would meet.
Rodger loved to be outside, especially if he was hunting or going on fishing trips with his son. For him, nothing could beat a good fried fish sandwich and he was known by many as a corn on the cob connoisseur. Rodger was a talker and would talk to anyone and everyone. He truly loved people. He would give you the shirt off of his back and always found ways to be generous.
Rodger fought a courageous 3 year battle with pancreatic cancer. He remained steadfast in his faith up until the very end. He continued to encourage others and witness to many along the way. He ran his race well and fought the good fight.
In addition to his wife, children and grandson, Rodger is survived by his brothers, Robert (Sue) Davis, Randy (Kathy) Davis, and Ronald (Doris) Davis. Additionally he is survived by his mother in-law, Kay Reott, as well as brother in-laws, Dean Reott, Daniel Reott, Duane (Patty) Reott, Daryl Reott, Doug (Debbie) Reott and sister in-laws, Debbie Young, and Denise Robinson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received at Fox Funeral Home 410 W Main St, Saxonburg, PA 16056 on Monday, April 6th, 2026 from 1-3 PM and 5-8 PM.
