Sara McKruit

 Sara  McKruit, 73, of Cabot, passed away on  May 2, 2026 at her home after a lengthy illness.  
 
 Born October 2, 1952 in Kittanning, she was the daughter of Daniel Bowser and Ada Hoak Bowser.
 
Sara loved her dogs, Maggie and Sandy.  She enjoyed playing pickelball at the Kittanning YMCA, playing cards at the Kittanning Senior Center, walking and anything outdoors. 
 
 Surviving are her husband, Gary K. McKruit, whom she married October 2, 2001, two daughters, Sonya Elaine Crissman of McGann, PA and April (John) Hockenberry of Cabot; her siblings, James (Donna) Bowser of Kittanning, Warren Bowser of Lousiana,  Janet Kaufman of Cowansville, Dan Bowser of Kittanning, Gary Bowser of Hermitage, PA, Paul L. Bowser of Youngstown, OH and Lois Smith of Parkville, MD; six grandchildren, Levi, Aleya, Garrett, William, Autumn, and Taylor.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Alexis Charlene and two sisters, Mary Ann Bowser and Evelyn Bellas. 
 
There will be no visitation or services.  Private interment will be in St. Luke Cemetery in Cabot.
