Sharon Fran McEwen, 74, of Saxonburg, passed away on February 8, 2024 at her home.
Born November 24, 1949 in Carrol County, VA, she was the daughter of Richard W. Wright and Audrey Hiatt Wright.
Fran was a volunteer for the Winfield Senior Center and served as a Stephen Minister. She enjoyed Bible studies, playing nickels and Mahjong and camping.
She was a loving wife, caring and supportive mother and a fun-loving grandmother, Memaw and GiGi.
Surviving are her husband, Donald McEwen, whom she married October 14, 1967, her son, James T. (Renee) McEwen of Newton Falls, OH, her daughters, Kimberly S. (Mark) Harvey of Cabot and Deana M. McEwen of Saxonburg, two brothers, James W. (Judy) Wright of Saxonburg and Wyatt (Maureen) Wright of Tyrone, PA, one sister, Grace Devene (Mark) Tanilli of Natrona Heights, PA, 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren and we can't forget her fur babies Bella and Tinkerbell.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Anyone who knew Fran, knew she loved Jesus and spreading his word. She was always available to lend a caring ear and say a prayer for anyone in need. Although this is a sad time for her family, it is also a time to rejoice. She is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
