Thomas C. McMahon, 91, of Sarver passed away on January 26, 2025 at home, surrounded by family.
Born September 6, 1933 in Conemaugh Twp., Indiana Co., he was the son of Orin McMahon and Laura Henry McMahon.
Tom had worked as a laborer for General Refractories, Carbidide Industries and as a van driver for W.L. Roenigk. He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. He enjoyed coin collecting, feeding the birds and working on the lawn.
Surviving are his daughter, Sally Marshalek of Sarver, his grandchildren, Jessica Marshalek and Matt (Debbie) Kerchensky, one great-grandson, Chad Kerchensky; Jerry Smock "the son he never had" and one honorary grandson, Bobby Mills, and his special young buddy Christopher Manning.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter, Ashley, three brothers, five sisters and his long-time companion, Joan Newman.
A memorial service will held on Thursday January 30th, at 11:00am, with Pastor Brian Bocian officiating at the St. Luke Lutheran Church 330 Hannahstown Road Cabot, PA.
The family would to thank a dear friend Shannon for her special delivery of chocolate chip cookies and muffins that Tom enjoyed.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Luke Lutheran Church.
