Velma Jean Koegler Markell, 92, of Cabot passed away on January 26, 2025 at the Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
Born June 10, 1932 in Prospect, she was the daughter of Garth Cratty and Emma McCandless Cratty.
Velma was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot, where she was involved in many activities and had many good friends there. She enjoyed decorating, flowers, music and traveling. She loved her family so much and enjoyed spending time with them. She had such a strong faith in God and is at peace with her Savior now.
Surviving are her son, Roy (Beth) Koegler of Saxonburg, three daughters, Susan (Robert) Warheit of Sarver, Marsha (Keith) Acre of Butler and Sharon (Paul) Sakian of Saxonburg, 10 grandchildren, Carrie Tomon, Ryan Koegler, Lauren Regis, Crystal Rockey, Brent Warheit, Brad Acre, Todd Acre, Mark Acre, Travis Deahl and Ashley Shakley, 12 great-grandchildren, three brothers-in-law, Glenn Koegler, Dale Koegler and Robert Hogg and one sister-in-law, Erma Cratty.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Donald Koegler, her second husband, Michael Zupanek,one daughter Cheryl Koegler, one grandson, Donald Deahl, two brothers, Glenn Cratty and Ronald Cratty her sister, Marilyn Hogg.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, 11:00 am at the St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, with Rev. Ben Berteau officiating.
Private interment was in the St. Luke Cemetery.
