William J. Allison

 William J. Allison, 80, of Sarver passed away on September 13, 2023 at his home.
 
 Born March 29, 1943 in Winfield Twp., PA, he was the son of William Ford Allison  and Juanita Kelly Allison.
 
Bill had worked as a barber and also as a truck driver for GNC.   He was a member of Zion Methodist Community Church in Sarver, North Central Pennsylvania Slovenian Polka Boosters, Prime Time Polka, Sarver Veterans Club, Saxonburg American Legion Post #683, Saxonburg VFW Post #7376, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Happy Hunters.  He enjoyed hunting, racing dirt track, polka dancing and watching the Steelers.
 
 Surviving are his wife, Joanne Snyder Allison, whom he married August 4, 2017, two daughters, Tracy Richardson of Herndon, VA and Trudy (Joe) Barca of Pittsburgh, his step-son, Troy (Lisa) Geib of Mt. Joy, PA, two step-daughters, Denise (Larry) Shank of Hershey, PA and Jodie (Travis) Young of Montrose, GA, 6 grandchildren, Joey, Jacob, Justin, Jordan, Janelle and Avery Jo,  and 1 great-grandson, Matthew

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lorraine Giesler and Karen Allison. 
 
 Friends will be received Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 2-6 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.
     
 Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, 11:00 am at the Zion Methodist Community Church 438 Bear Creek Road Sarver, PA with Rev. Seth McClymonds
 
 Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
 
 Memorial donations may be made to Zion Methodist Church or the Good Samaritan Hospice.
