Janice and family I am so sadden by the passing of Jim. Sorry this is few months late I had to use google. I remember working w/him and you on the Baptism team at St. Jerome and how I was in awe of his love and spirituality of God and Jesus! How he used his knowledge of the Bible in the Bible study class at St. Jerome was awesome! The homilies he gave at St. Jerome touched my heart and sometimes brought tears to my eyes. St Jerome's was truly blessed w/this wonderful and awesome man. He will be missed by all...I loved him very much. We all will hold the memories of him in our hearts. Now he is home resting in peace and pain free w/God, Jesus and all the angels. May God wrap you and his family w/ comfort and peace; my prayers and thoughts are w/you all.

I received a text overnight from a friend telling me there was an article in the Catholic Sun about Jim's passing. He was a good man and I wish that I hadn't lost track of a way to stay in contact. I've missed him but know what wonder he will see in heaven.

Dear Janice,
My heart is with you so strongly. I have been blessed to have Jim as my Uncle and friend. I have memories of him as a teenager and was fortunate to be able to spend some quality time with the two of you in France and in LA. He lived a full life, reaching all of his dreams, which included finding the love of his life and becoming a deacon so he could better serve the Lord Jesus. He was very loved and will be remembered and missed by so many. Matthias only got to meet him on skype, but felt a real connection and we both regret that we were not able to see him in his last years. I still feel his essence around me and I know that feeling will always remain because a light as strong as his does not die. His light will vividly stay alive in our memories until we all get to meet him again. I'm sure he will have a lot to say, filling us in on what life is like up there when it is our turn to join him. Janice, you are a role model for me and I feel blessed to have you as my aunt.
With much love, Leslie & Matthias

Janice and family, my deepest thoughts of sympathy at the loss of your husband and brother. Janice, God bless you as you grieve. He loved you...we witnessed that on several occasions. I have so many memories of Dcn. Jim with St. Jerome Faith Formation and his push (thank you) to get me certified as a Catechist. His Monday night classes were so inspirational. His students still, when we see each other talk about how blessed he was and we were. Two very special memories 1) when you and Dcn. Jim were in the LifeTeen Night Play of Narnia....β€οΈοΈπŸ™πŸ»β€οΈοΈ and 2) weekly meetings with Debbie for LT and the love plaque meaning. I can only think of the reception he must have had in Heaven. Pain free and in Jesus the Christ arms.

Janice,
Prayers and condolences from the other Son of Thunder from St. Jerome Parish in Phoenix. Jim was an inspiration to me to be a bolder proclaimer of the Word, and not to think that the homily was another Theology class. I remember how much of a servant he was when I met him at the Saturn dealership detailing cars. He carried that same humility over to his service as a deacon, never losing that steely conviction in his eyes that Jesus was indeed alive in the Catholic Church. I will miss him.
Blessings to you for all you have done for him to serve as deaconess to the deacon.

Janice, I am so happy for Deacon Jim and so sad for you. It's so impossible to understand why those of such service and loyal Ness to the Lord suffer the hardest, you and Deacon Jim. His life had so much purpose and meaning, your dedication to him is an amazing gift for all of us to see. He left a legacy so few are gifted to leave as a gift to mankind. Such great memories of his lectures. Our Faith Feeds were probably some of the most well attended when he was speaking to us. His passion for the Catholic Church was infectious. Now we can all talk to him anytime we want. Its a special Thanksgiving for us to thank you for sharing him with us. The heavens are giving him one huge welcoming party, just wish he could send us all a postcard of heaven. It would probably say, "you should see thus place it incredibly" "the weather is great, having a wonderful time, wish you were here" πŸ˜‡πŸ˜™πŸ’”πŸΉπŸŒˆπŸŽΆπŸ“

I wish to extend my deepest condolences to you and your family. Although I didn't know Deacon Jim, I still feel the loss of a brother Deacon. I am sure he will always remembered by those he ministered to, and the Church that he served so reverently and with deep affection. May our Lord accept him into his heavenly kingdom, and may his family and friends be grateful, to have known him.
