Paul K. Helgert, 69 of Butler, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 17, 2016 at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born May 18, 1946 in Natrona Heights, PA, he was the son of the late Claude G. Helgert and Nancy Milliron Helgert.

Paul was a 1965 graduate of Har-Brack High School. He was a machinist by trade, but a cowboy at heart. His interests included horses, planes, classic cars and westerns. He was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Worthington.

Surviving are his wife, Kathy (Bittner) Helgert whom he married February 14, 1989, his daughter Paula (Robert) Donaldson of Butler, his son, Chad Helgert of Butler, 2 brothers, Joel (Peggy Ann) Helgert of Natrona Heights and Douglas (Maria) Helgert of Natrona Heights, 2 sisters, Deborah (Ray) Davidowski of Fawn Twp. and Claudia Ager of Indiana, granddaughters, Kayla and Taylor Donaldson and several nieces and nephews whom he adored.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016, 10:00 am at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA, with Rev. Nathan Bramlet officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
