Philip W. Riemer

Philip W. "Bud" Riemer, 61 of Butler, lost his hard fought battle with lymphoma on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the West Penn Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Born July 1, 1954 in Butler, PA, he was the son of Melvin P. Riemer and Elsie Mae (Heasley) Riemer.

Bud was 1973 graduate of Knoch High School. He went on to graduate from Keystone Diesel Technical School. Bud worked for Floyd L. Mahan Manufacturing Co., Crider Truck Leasing, Triangle Gasoline, and Purvis Brothers, Inc. He loved his job and enjoyed his time with his fellow employees. Bud's true love was farming. He had shown cattle for over 50 years and also produced feed for his animals. He was a member of Summit Presbyterian Church, and a former 4-H and Knoch FFA member. Bud loved his family deeply.

Surviving are his loving wife, Linda (Hamilton) Riemer, who he married August 23, 1980, his sons, Sam (Leah) Riemer of Butler and Scott (Katie) Riemer of Harlansburg, mother, Elsie Mae Riemer of Butler, brother, James E. Riemer of Butler, sister, Carol Sue (Paul) Hartzell of Butler, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Melvin P. Riemer.

Friends will be received on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg.

Services will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Robert McCrumb officiating.

Interment will follow in Summit UP Church Cemetery.
